Brazilian jiu-jitsu is more than a martial art, combat sport, or self defense system. The ´Jitz Lifestyle´ promotes a healthy, laid back, kick ass way of life.

A martial art that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting. BJJ is great for kids and adults, there are no strikes involved and it promotes the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger opponent by using proper technique, leverage, and most notably, taking the fight to the ground, and then applying joint-locks and chokes.

Early UFC highlighted the superiority of BJJ to other Martial Arts and today is a core component of MMA.

BJJ training can be used for sport grappling tournaments (gi and no-gi) and mixed martial arts (MMA) competition or self-defense.
